Build The Fence

Sioux City Journal

Representative in the U.S. House, Steve King, strongly advocates for construction of such a barrier. He envisions a fence from San Diego to Brownsville, Texas, as “one component of a multi-faceted approach to comprehensive immigration reform.”

In his Friday column on our Opinion page, Charles Krauthammer made a strong case for construction of a barrier.

“It is simply ridiculous to say it cannot be done,” Krauthammer wrote. “If one fence won?t do it, then build a second 100 yards behind it. And then build a road for patrols in between. Put cameras. Put sensors. Put out lots of patrols.”

We support that concept, although we leave to security experts the design specifics of what type barrier would provide the most effective security.

In addition to more manpower, the U.S. Border Patrol needs and deserves the kind of help a barrier would provide in order to adequately protect what is a 2,000-mile stretch of America.

“Every year, an estimated three million illegal aliens pour across our southern border,” King wrote in a guest column for The Journal last fall. “Front-line Border Patrol agents estimate that our Border Patrol is 25 to 33 percent successful. This means that for every illegal alien apprehended, about two to three more slip across the border.”

Thats unusual for Krauthammer. You usually see that guys articles being strongly libritarian/open borders. It might be good to do a little bit of investigation. Maybe hes changed his spots…? Ive noticed over the last couple of weeks a couple of other bush leg-humpers have turned finally also. Free Republic and Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiller, Which eve 2 months ago hung a flag on their side bar w/ a picture of jorge saying ‘hes still my president’ or some such bs. That indeed is a very positive sign, because Freep is a huge house, and same with the Rottweiler. Stay tuned to this one!

There seems to be serious misunderstanding what an immigrant is, even by those of us opposing illegal immigration. What I have seen has nothing to do with legal or illegal! An immigrant is someone who leaves their country to move to an ADOPTED country. They want to take part in the structure of the ADOPTED country. They wave the flag of their ADOPTED country ? irregardless if they are there legally or illegally. The people demonstrating are not only in our country illegally, but they are a migrating horde who want to take our country and make it part of their parent country. They wave the flags of the country they are invading on the behalf of. Personally, they can have Kalifornia. But the rest of the country had better wake up or learn to speak Spanish and live in a government that operates on bribes and where the big land owners wear side arms while they are managing their peons. There are no small land owners. I?ve been to Mexico and I saw exactly that.

Well, I bet this is ONE JOB AMERICANS WILL DO! If congress let’s us.

Robert - I do not know what state your from, but I’m a born and raised southern Californian, and they cannot have it. The citizens of this American state have been screaming for other Americans like you to help stop this invasion for thiry years, and we got nothing because it did not effect you and other AMERICANS in other states. Now, illegals are in every state and people like yourself now are screaming and bitching. If you want to stop this invasion, Americans can no longer give an inch or wait for someone to stop the invasion for you.
Robert, your piece of America is next, and I would never say Mexico can have it, and unlike yourself apparently I would fight for all Americans including yourself because there are somethings in life that need to be defended even if it results in your own personal death. What do you think all thoughs past and present Americans are dying for, it surely is not to surrender or to hand “Kalifornia” to Mexico.

Yep. That true- We all got to hang together in this fight. This is OUR country. Come the Day, We’ll all be needed just like our forefathers. It doesnt take long to realize ALL areas of this country are being infested. Once the infestation begins, then all hell breaks loose.

  6. Roger Says:

For every day of delay in the barrier constructions, there are ten thousand more illigal invasions adding to the current illigal popullation. That is a scary thought.

Thank you Ron! I, too, am a native Californian, and these illegal theives can’t have it! Now I think that other parts of the nation are finally starting to feel what we’ve been putting up with for years! It’s time for all Americans to take a stand and tell these people to go back to their home countries and make things better there. It’s not America’s responsibility to make things better for them.

Thank you Ron! I, too, am a native Californian, and these illegal theives can’t have it! Now I think that other parts of the nation are finally starting to feel what we’ve been putting up with for years! These people are ruining and bankrupting our state, and it’s going to start happening in other states too. We need to fight for what’s ours—that means every American!
