“Drunk drivers come in many colors, White, Black, Hispanic or any other race. Victims come in many colors too. So when there is an unusually high rate of drunk driving among one group of people, it’s worth examining the reasons why”.

Watch these videos. The documentary is about the unusually high rate of “Hispanic “immigrant” drunk driving in North Carolina. The story focuses in on one family who have been directly impacted by this phenomena.

Scott Gardner was killed by a drunk driving illegal immigrant in 2005. His wife was left severely brain-damaged, unable to walk or speak. She is now being cared for in a nursing home for the rest of here life. Their two kids who were in the car at the time of the accident, are now being raised by Scott’s parents. One moment in time, that has totally altered the lives of the Gardner family, forever.

The illegal alien drunk driver who caused all this had been arrested 5 times previous for DWI and was deported twice only to come back and cause this terrible tragedy of an American family. Why was this allowed to happen? GuardDog

Drunken-Driving Among Hispanics Focus of WRAL Documentary
WRAL Raleigh
December 5, 2007

Raleigh ? The high rate of drunken driving accidents involving legal and illegal Hispanic immigrants is the focus of a WRAL News documentary airing Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Focal Point: “Crossing the Line” also looks at the challenges law enforcement agencies and the court system face in trying to punish undocumented immigrants for driving drunk. It also looks at how Latino advocacy groups are working to reach out to Hispanic immigrants and educate them about the dangers of driving drunk.

According to a recent study from the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center, Hispanics involved in car crashes are two-and-a-half times more likely to be drunk than white drivers and three times more likely to be drunk than black drivers.

Hispanics also account for 18 percent of drunken-driving arrests, while making up less than 7 percent of the state?s population. Drunken driving is also the number one killer of young Hispanic men in North Carolina.

“Crossing the Line” also profiles the case of Scott and Tina Gardner, a couple from Mount Holly, N.C., who was hit by an illegal immigrant on their vacation in July 2005. Tina Gardner was left severely brain-damaged, and Scott Gardner was killed.

The driver, Ramiro Gallegos, had a blood alcohol concentration of .22, nearly three times the legal limit.

?My son didn?t have to die,” his mother, Emily Moose, said. “The man that drove the truck and took his life had been in front of a judge five times. He had been deported from this country twice.?

More recently, there have been several traffic accidents involving Hispanic immigrants.

On Oct. 25, Elbin Fabiel Ocampo Cruz, 22, was driving westbound on eastbound Interstate 540 between Creedmoor and Six Forks roads in Raleigh when he collided with a woman’s car. An illegal immigrant, he faces charges including driving while impaired and reckless driving.

And in March, Luciano Tellez, 31, of Angier, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor death by vehicle, felony hit-and-run and other charges in connection with a fatal hit-and-run involving a tractor-trailer

Two people who were in the car with Tellez told authorities that he had been drinking. He had been convicted in 2005 in Wake County on a prior DWI conviction and was wanted for violating terms of his probation.

This is a preview of a NOW on PBS program airing December 14, 2007 (check local listings). In it, NOW talks to Congressman Ron Paul and his supporters across the country about Paul’s surprisingly popular run for the Republican nomination, led in large part by people acting on their own without help from Ron Paul or his campaign.

About a month ago, Dennis Slater of No More Invasion was attacked by a group of day laborers in the Home Depot parking lot. The police have not made any arrests even though Dennis Slater provided them with photo’s of the attackers and all of them still frequent the Home Depot.

On Saturday, we returned to the scene of the crime. Canoga Park is completely overrun with illegal aliens. They are all extremely hostile and if the police were not on the scene, I am certain there would’ve been more violence.

At the end of part 2, I was surrounded by an angry mob of illegal aliens and anchor babies. If the police didn’t step in when they did, I don’t think I would’ve made it to my car. And if I did make it inside my vehicle, they would’ve trashed it before I had the chance to drive off.

There are lots more videos and photos on this thread over at

Readers bombard Newsweek with evidence after adverse story on Ron Paul

A Newsweek story critical of Rep. Ron Paul and labeling the NAFTA Superhighway a baseless conspiracy theory has generated approximately 250 adverse reader responses on the “comments” section of Newsweek’s website, many citing hard evidence that the proposed transcontinental trade corridor is quite real.

“There is a broad coalition of Americans developing across the United States who are opposed to a North American Union and know that Ron Paul is right and we need to take action now before it is too late,” Jesse Benton, national press secretary for the Ron Paul Presidential Campaign 08 told WND.

Particularly interesting among Newsweek’s reader comments were citations of Canadian government websites that openly discuss and declare plans to create a NAFTA Superhighway.

Several readers pointed to a Canadian government video clip gaining wide circulation on the Internet. It involves a Nov. 20 “Speech from the Throne,” in which John Harvard, lieutenant-governor of the Province of Manitoba, Canada, opened the second session of the 39th assembly of the provincial legislature with comments proclaiming support for the development of a “Mid-Continent Trade Corridor.”

“Manitoba is also taking a major role in the development of a Mid-Continent Trade Corridor, connecting our northern Port of Churchill with trade markets throughout the central United States and Mexico,” Harvard told the legislature.

“To advance the concept,” Harvard continued, “an alliance has been built with business leaders and state and city governments spanning the entire length of the Corridor. When fully developed, the trade route will incorporate an ‘inland port’ in Winnipeg with pre-clearance for international shipping.”

A video posted on YouTube shows excerpts from Harvard’s speech juxtaposed with clips of President Bush and Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper at the press conference of the third summit of the Security and Prosperity Partnership in Montebello, Quebec, on Aug. 21, ridiculing the North American Union and the NAFTA Superhighway as baseless conspiracy theories.

Pat Condell: Laugh At Sudan

Teacher jailed in Sudan over naming of teddy bear flies home after president grants pardon
UK Guardian Unlimited
December 4, 2007

The British teacher imprisoned for insulting Islam by naming a school teddy bear Muhammad was on a plane home to Britain last night after being pardoned by the Sudanese president.

Gillian Gibbons, 54, was released yesterday in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, and taken into the care of British embassy staff after her nine-day ordeal. She is expected to be greeted by her Merseyside family when she arrives in the UK this morning.

She was sentenced to 15 days in prison after she allowed her class of seven-year-olds at Unity high school in Khartoum to name a teddy bear Muhammad as part of a class exercise.

In a statement, Gibbons said she was “fine” and thanked those who had worked to win her release. She spent the afternoon relaxing with British embassy staff and the deputy ambassador, Hugh Evans, in Khartoum, before boarding a plane for Dubai. She spent most of the flight asleep, telling reporters: “I just want to relax, I don’t want to say any more. I’m too tired.”

Yesterday morning as the pardon was issued on the veranda of the Sudanese president’s palace, the mother of two’s apology was issued. “I have encountered nothing but kindness and generosity from the Sudanese people,” she said.

“I have a great respect for the Islamic religion and would not knowingly offend anyone and I am sorry if I caused any distress. My class was delightful and were making wonderful progress with their studies. I will miss them terribly and I am very sad to think that they have been distressed by this event.”

According to Sudanese officials, it was her insistence that she had inadvertently caused offence which finally persuaded President Omar al-Bashir to release her in the face of public opposition. Others observed that the president had delayed the pardon for a few days to avoid angering his hardline Islamic constituency……

October 19, 1999; Walter Cronkite receives award from the World Federalist Association. The award is the “Norman Cousins Global Governance Award.” Through a closed-circuit hook-up, Hillary Clinton commends Cronkite for his promotion of a one-world government.

Interesting video. Unfortunately this clip is only a minute and a half long. I’d like to see more. I had never heard of the WFA so I did a quick Google search. The Google listing says and the site description is “An advocate for global governance and United Nations reform along federalist principles.” but when you click the link it takes you to an Evangelical church. Strange.

They must have changed their name. There is an Association of World Federalists which looks like them. For more information they give you the website of the World Federalist Movement.
