California Growing By Leaps And Bounds.

I just discovered the Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) website. Lots of Ph. d’s on their board of directors. I’m going to have to check them out more thoroughly when I have time. Here’s something to get you started.

[Illegal] Immigrants Are Responsible For More Than 90 Percent of California’s
Population Growth.

Most groups in California are barely replacing themselves, typically having less than two children. Many [Illegal] Immigrant families typically average more than three. So as we welcome more immigrants, we welcome a major increase in population. It’s easy to see how the numbers can quickly add up. Almost all of California’s population increase is due to [illegal] immigration and the above replacement fertility of Hispanic groups. (California Department of Finance) The average family size of all Californians is approximately 2.1, at replacement level.
