    Border Patrol Secrets
Posted on Friday, April 25 @ 12:28:14 CDT

According to documents uncovered by Judicial Watch, at a time when the United States faces an “ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION” CRISIS and a war on terrorism, Bush administration officials directed Border Patrol agents to “WITHHOLD INFORMATION” about a marked increase in illegal immigration caused by President Bush?s immigration agenda.

?Do not talk about amnesty, increase in apprehensions, or give comparisons of past immigration reform proposals.?

?Do not provide statistics on apprehension spikes or past amnesty data.?

This is what Border Patrol agents were told in a January 2004 memo obtained by Judicial Watch in May 2005, entitled ?White House Approved Talking Points.? At the time the memo was crafted, President Bush had just announced a new ?temporary worker program? for illegal immigrants.

If the president?s initiative were to have negative repercussions, Bush administration officials seemingly reasoned, the public must not know.

This is hardly the stuff of open, honest and responsible government.

The memo, obtained by Judicial Watch through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, relates to a Border Patrol survey initiated in January 2004. Following a high-profile speech by the President on January 7, where he floated what amounted to an amnesty program for illegal immigrants, Border Patrol agents began asking randomly chosen illegals caught at the border if they were trying to cross because of the president?s proposal.

In less than three weeks the Bush administration abruptly shut down the survey. Border Patrol agents were ordered not to discuss its early findings with the press. The government, of course, never issued a report on the survey or its findings.

Judicial Watch immediately filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the Department of Homeland Security to get to the truth in the matter. When Homeland Security resisted, we sued, forcing the release of 1,000 documents, including the aforementioned talking points memo. In reviewing this information, it is easy to see whythe Bush administration was adamant about keeping the surveys secret.

Here are some more disturbing survey findings the Bush administration tried to keep from you:

    1. President Bush?s ?temporary guest worker? program was broadly interpreted as an amnesty program by illegal immigrants from Mexico.
    2. Early results from the Border Patrol survey indicated President Bush?s proposal did, in fact, lure greater numbers of illegal immigrants to the U.S. Approximately 45% of respondents crossed illegally based upon rumors of a Bush amnesty program.
    3. Approximately 63% received Mexican government or media information supporting the notion of a Bush administration amnesty program.
    4. When asked if they would seek amnesty if offered, 80% of apprehended illegal immigrants answered, ?yes.?
    5. More than 60% of those apprehended had previously entered the United States illegally, some as many as six times.
    6. Approximately 66% desired to petition for family members to join them in the United States.

The survey data, when combined with anecdotal remarks, presents a clear picture of the chaotic state of our nation?s borders and the likely damaging results of the president?s amnesty proposal. Illegal immigrants are crossing our borders again and again without fear of any repercussions. They intend on staying in perpetuity, and bringing their friends and families with them. Some, undoubtedly, are conspiring to do us harm.

In his January 7 speech to the nation, President Bush told the American people that first and foremost, ?America must protect its borders.? Following the attacks of September 11, he said, ?This duty of the federal government has become even more urgent.?

While correctly identifying the problem, the president?s solution is baffling. How can we ensure border security while, at the same time, allowing illegal immigrants to cross our borders and then providing them with pseudo-citizenship when they get here?

The Bush administration stonewalled Judicial Watch in court for almost a year to make sure the negative impact of the president?s proposed amnesty program would remain a well-kept secret from the American people. Bush administration officials withheld information from the American people they knew would be embarrassing.

Well, now the truth is out.

ACLU now working with Mexican government
    By Lonewacko (04-22-08)
    source =

The San Diego chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is now working with directly with Mexico’s Human Rights Commission, a quasi-governmental group that’s independent from but funded by the Mexican government. The ACLU is a very strong supporter of illegal immigration but in the past the only known link between them and the Mexican government was indirect. Any future news report on the ACLU’s efforts regarding immigration should mention their new direct link, and if it doesn’t please contact the news source’s editor. They should also be asked about this at public meetings or whereever else they discuss these issues

This also follows Mexican president Felipe Calderon stating that they’re going to use U.S. non-profits to push their agenda inside the U.S.

The release from is in the extended entry; note that they incorrectly blame border deaths on attempts to enforce our laws, when the actual culprits include those like the ACLU who take every step possible to encourage and enable illegal immigration. They’ll be working together to “explore legal actions” against Operation Gatekeeper. They also say that the “ACLU of San Diego is not receiving funding from any Mexican source for its work”, hinting that even they know what they’re doing is wrong.

    The release,

In a historic agreement to pursue joint strategies to protect the human rights of migrants moving across the Mexico-United States border, the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties and the Comision Nacional de Derechos Humanos today signed a document declaring common goals and principles to address the serious human rights issues.

The Memorandum of Agreement between the two organizations charges the parties jointly to explore legal actions to challenge Operation Gatekeeper and other programs that have contributed to migrant deaths, and to educate a transnational audience about the issue of human rights tragedies at the border. More than $30 billion dollars have been spent on Gatekeeper since its inception, but the program has done little to prevent illegal entries?it has simply shifted them to the mountains and deserts east of San Diego, where migrants face much harsher conditions in remote, environmentally hostile areas.

The agreement was developed in reaction to the continually mounting death toll of now more than 5,000 migrants along the border, as well as the challenge of advocating on these issues effectively from just one side of the border. With respect to abuses by federal law enforcement agencies, for example, U.S. federal agencies have acted with immunity and a complete lack of transparency.

Kevin Keenan, Executive Director of the ACLU-San Diego and Dr. José Luis Soberanes, President of the Comisión, signed the agreement at the ?Justice in Mexico: Evaluating National and Local Strategies? conference at the Joan Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, University of San Diego.

?Through this collaboration we hope to build bridges of understanding and justice, and tear down walls of prejudice and hate,? said Dr. Soberanes. ?It is intolerable that our two civilized nations have allowed so many deaths of migrants along the border since the adoption of Operation Gatekeeper,? said Keenan. ?By working together with Mexico?s Human Rights Commission, we will hold our governments to account in ways that we could not do alone.? David Shirk, Director of the Trans-Border Institute that hosted the conference, said, ?We are pleased to serve as the backdrop for the signing of this historic agreement, and hope that this partnership will lead to a reversal of the tragic trends that have plagued our two nations in recent years.?

The agreement calls for the organizations to host an invitation-only conference of experts in June to focus on bi-national advocacy strategies for attacking inhumane policies affecting migrants, especially deaths from border crossings; to meet again following the U.S. elections in November to update its plans; to cooperate on other lawsuits, advocacy efforts, and educational campaigns on a case-by-case basis; and to seek funding for these efforts in their respective countries. The ACLU of San Diego is not receiving funding from any Mexican source for its work.

Texas Tech Pisses Off Illegals Again With ‘Catch An Illegal Immigrant’ Game
    By Digger (04/23/08)
    source =

I find it simply hilarious that year after year illegal aliens and their supporters come out against those expressing their free speech and expression rights by pointing out the ludicrous nature in which we secure our borders. The Young Republicans of Texas at Texas Tech University once again held their “Catch an Illegal Immigrant” game this year.

And of course there was outrage! Outrage that they should point out the obvious. Outrage that they should point out the illegality of illegal immigration. As usual, those opposed are bringing their politics from their foreign countries here. In their chosen country of loyalty there is no free speech, so they are outraged that we should have it here in this country.

    Amarillo Globe-News

“ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT” read the T-shirts’ fronts. “CATCH ME IF YOU CAN” read the backs.

Students in the Texas Tech chapter of the Young Conservatives of Texas wore the T-shirts on campus one day as part of a game, “Catch the Illegal Immigrant.”

Although the game goes against the university’s mission to build a diverse and welcoming atmosphere, the students have a right to play it, Tech President Jon Whitmore wrote in a response letter Wednesday to two students who were deeply offended by the game.

“All members of our university community have a right to express themselves, even when you and I or others disagree with them,” his letter reads.

Two students informed the university’s president of the event in a protest letter dated April 11 and endorsed by 15 faculty members and six student organizations.

The game promotes violence toward not only illegal immigrants, but all foreigners, their letter reads.

Hmm that’s funny, I don’t remember them calling it “Catch and Beat an Illegal Alien” or “Catch and Kill A Foreigner”. The fact that 15 faculty members would chose to limit free speech and expression should bring into question their capabilities to teach. If any of these faculty members are teaching on the issue of history of the United States or the Constitution, their teaching credentials for those subjects should be revoked immediately for they have proven that they cannot even understand the first amendment.

“All this game is doing is creating this tension between students. … It makes Texas Tech look like it does not welcome diversity. It makes all of us look bad,” said Tomas Resendiz, a Tech junior and one of the two Hispanic students who drafted the letter to Whitmore, in which they urged university administrators to clarify their stance on the game.

I guess being diverse means you have to accept illegal aliens among your group, it’s not good enough that you have just regular old legal Hispanics, Indians, Blacks, Whites, Asian etc… YOU HAVE TO HAVE ILLEGAL ALIENS as well or you simply aren’t accepting of diversity.

“This offends the Hispanic community as a whole,” said Resendiz

    Oh Really?

    Lou Barletta Needs Your Help!
    By Digger (04/26/08)
    source =

Lou Barletta, the Hazleton, Pennsylvania Mayor who has been fighting for all Americans and small towns across this country when it comes to illegal immigration, needs your help. What I want you to do is go sign-up at his website and/or donate some cash to his Congressional campaign and help ensure he wins a congressional seat.

“But I don’t live in Pennsylvania” you say.

The fact of the matter is that we know how Barletta will vote on illegal immigration in the House. And his vote will count for just as much as your own congressman’s.

So go to and at the very least add yourself to the newsletter, so that you can keep up to date on how he’s doing!

He told me to send him 5 people, I’m hoping that it is many more than that.

    A word from Lou:

“Those who know me, know that Washington had better get ready for a new breed of leader — one who isn’t afraid to speak their mind. I have a proven record of never backing down in defense of our freedom, security and well-being.

And despite my opponent, 12-term Congressman Paul Kanjorski, having several times the money we have so far in the race, I know we can AND WILL win. It’s that important.”

“We are going to need as many grassroots supporters as possible to shake up this race and prove that we’re in it to win it.”

Heck ya Lou! We need more leaders like you and Tom Tancredo!
Leaders who aren’t afraid to speak the truth and protect United States citizens!

Interesting article from WorldNet Daily on Hillary Corruption:

As Hillary Clinton positions herself for a presidential run, a former fund-raiser is moving ahead with a lawsuit claiming the New York senator orchestrated the largest campaign-finance fraud ever by an American political campaign.

In an interview with WorldNetDaily, Los Angeles millionaire lawyer and businessman Peter Franklin Paul asserted Clinton failed to declare to the Federal Election Commission more than $2 million in contributions ? a massive omission he believes prevented her 2000 senatorial campaign from going bankrupt in the crucial final weeks.

Paul has filed a civil suit charging Sen. Clinton and her husband, former President Clinton, with fraud, coercion and conspiracy. California courts so far have denied the Clintons’ motions to dismiss, and Paul expects the case to proceed at the beginning of the year, just as Hillary Clinton prepares to defend her Senate seat.

“This public servant, who is sworn to uphold the Constitution, is the biggest violator of the fundamental principles and statutes relating to fair elections and honest government,” Paul told WND. “She needs to be dealt with in a way that will show this country and elected officials in Washington that everybody is accountable to the rule of law.”

I read an email from a person that read a blog stating that the earthquakes in Reno were due to the military shooting down or disabling a B52 bomber or something like that. It was supposedly on its way to bomb Iran. Has anyone heard this rumor that’s going around on the net?

  19. Educated American says:

#15 - Yes, Jimmy - that guy is plainly a racist. I have seen that video before. As soon as I recognized him, I clicked off the video. In the version I saw a while back, the next speaker gets up and denounces him. The old dreadlock guy is clearly narrow-minded and has a huge chip on his shoulder. Every once in a while you will hear an old (and sadly embittered) black person say such things. My impression is that most other black people are embarrased by that kind of talk.

No one is getting exterminated, OK everybody?

    Everyone just chill . . .

  20. Steele says:

If a B52 had crashed, it wouldn’t be causing over 50 earthquakes a day up there (from 0.5 - 2.0 every 20 minutes or so and a few higher up 3 - 4s) for almost two months.

Two months ago, there were earthquakes of a similar nature in Wells, NV, and to this day they are still having very small ones.

Here is a link to earthquakes happening in the Verdi/Mogul/Reno area from the USGS. They are getting pounded up there. And on the Las Vegas news tonight, it was announced that Vegas is in perfect condition right now for an earthquake of 7.0 magnitude (although after looking up more information on the matter, it was stated within the next 50 years.) Oh yippie skippy……

I’m not a big Reverend Wright fan because he is purposely inciting racial tensions in this country that we ALL could have done without, but having said that, I must give him credit where credit is due. He is correct that the AIDS virus was concocted and purposely given to minorities. WHY? I can hypothesize because the most suppressed among us would be the first and strongest to rise up. I believe 1959 is the year that the scientists were able to create it in the lab. If you are a scientist out there, then you know first hand that these pathogens can be created, studied, and grown to large proportions. They tests these on rats, and bunnies, etc. before it ever reaches the general population. I speak the truth. If the general public really knew what was going on with animals in a lab, they would be astonished. They just give this so called super-bug a label of a virus so you won’t expect medication to kill the nasty bug. Once you are in on the secret cure like Magic J. then you’ll survive it.
    And then yes, yes, yes

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Anne Hobbs was angry. The head of the Nebraska Equal Opportunity Commission had just learned of a Hispanic couple who said their landlord asked for their driver’s licenses - but didn’t ask the same of non-Hispanic tenants.

Hobbs said it sounded like the couple were “treated differently than everybody else because of national origin,” and sent the case to the state’s top prosecutor, hoping he would sue on their behalf under fair housing laws.

When Attorney General Jon Bruning received the case, he was angry, too - for a different reason than Hobbs.

“I’m not going to use taxpayer dollars to file lawsuits for illegal aliens,” said Bruning after learning the couple was in the U.S. illegally. “You’re not going to get a free lawyer” from his office, he said, “if you’re not a citizen of this country.”
