Swelling populations and a global tide of immigration will present new security challenges for the United States by straining resources and stoking extremism and civil unrest in distant corners of the globe, CIA Director Michael V. Hayden said in a speech yesterday.

The population surge could undermine the stability of some of the world’s most fragile states, especially in Africa, while in the West, governments will be forced to grapple with ever larger immigrant communities and deepening divisions over ethnicity and race, Hayden said.

Hayden, speaking at Kansas State University, described the projected 33 percent growth in global population over the next 40 years as one of three significant trends that will alter the security landscape in the current century. By 2050, the number of humans on Earth is expected to rise from 6.7 billion to more than 9 billion, he said.

“Most of that growth will occur in countries least able to sustain it, a situation that will likely fuel instability and extremism, both in those countries and beyond,” Hayden said.

With the population of countries such as Niger and Liberia projected to triple in size in 40 years, regional governments will be forced to rapidly find food, shelter and jobs for millions, or deal with restive populations that “could be easily attracted to violence, civil unrest, or extremism,” he said.

European countries, many of which already have large immigrant communities, will see particular growth in their Muslim populations while the number of non-Muslims will shrink as birthrates fall. “Social integration of immigrants will pose a significant challenge to many host nations — again boosting the potential for unrest and extremism,” Hayden said.

The CIA director also predicted a widening gulf between Europe and North America on how to deal with security threats, including terrorism. While U.S. and European officials agree on the urgency of the terrorism threat, there is a fundamental difference — a “transatlantic divide” — over the solution, he said.

While the United States sees the fight against terrorism as a global war, European nations perceive the terrorist threat as a law enforcement problem, he said.

“They tend not to view terrorism as we do, as an overwhelming international challenge. Or if they do, we often differ on what would be effective and appropriate to counter it,” Hayden said. He added that he could not predict “when or if” the two sides could forge a common approach to security.

Conditioning the sheeple for the “things to come”… Thinning of the herd.

Well pardon the vulgarity, but “No shit Dick Tracy!” It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this!

We the people have been saying to put a moratorium on immigration for a whole and to put an IMMEDIATE TO ILLEGAL ALIEN IMMIGRATION, but oh no….

Even that smartass Ted Turner who calls for population control had 5 kids (according to Wikipedia anyway). Does he want to voluteer for extermination of himself and his overly abundant family? He should be the first to go.

Furthermore, why are illegal aliens continued to come across our borders for the specific purpose of giving birth and then receive WIC etc benefits, free schooling, free breakfasts, lunches, the DREAM act and then these “Loyal” people go to their pro-illegal alien marchas and proudly wave their Mexican flags?!

The CIA director knows this is going. That joke of Homeland Security, Chertoff knows this is going on, and they continue to play stupid about this and play us for complete fools!

In the meatime, some of our youth are chasing their tails overseas in endless wars and our border guards are either in jail for doing their jobs or defending themselves with paintball guns!

The balkanization that is occuring in Europe and America is BY DESIGN. Divide and conquer. Get us peons fighting amongst ourselves for the scraps and crumbs that our Holy and Benevolent Globalist Masters toss on to the floor.

Anyone with common sense or intuition knows that it`s coming. Let`s all cut the BS and just deal with it. Let`s end illegal immigration.

    Right on Eddie and gpatriot

It’s all done by design. Everytime someone in the government or close to government makes a so called prediction, just know that it’s really a soon to be future fact (or at least that is “their” plan).

These third world pieces of shit that come here hate us. They hate that we were all born in the land of opportunity. They are jealous and cannot stand the fact that we have never ever had to go through what they do in their own countries. Just look at how all of the foreigners seek out areas where their own people reside. Little saigon in garden grove Ca, china town in every large city around the Nation, barrios in every single community, little havana in Florida etc etc…

Now that doesn’t sound like these ethnic groups want to assimilate or get along with the Americans in which they come to reside with and live among! How about the businesses they open? They cater to and advertise to their own kind rather than integrate their business into the American consumer. These immigrants want what we have so desperately and they know they have to fight us for it though, and that is what they are doing today May 1st. They want us to shut up and go away so that they can take what we have built and have had all along.

Good points, especially on Balkanization. In San Jose, CA, the Vietnamese want the area called “Little Saigon.” There’s this Vietnamese female councelor who opposed this and now, they want her recalled.

My question is-why are they trying so hard to Balkanize?

Hmm, different subject, I see I really mangled sections above. Maybe in between all those migraines and getting a new doctor in medical transcription that slurs all his words together and trying to learn him, maybe that’s affecting me or maybe it’s just me sometimes, (sigh).

#3. That should be: The CIA knows this is going {on}.
#1. That should be an: Immediate {stop} to what is going on.

Oh, the Channel 7 news for the Frisco Bay Area proudly announced that we have a larger population–BUT, now the Sierra snowpack is really low-we’ll have to conserve water….Gee, shall we continue adding more people?
