day laborers

Daily News

It wasn’t your typical field trip that Danielle Quinto took her fourth-grade class at Our Community School in North Hills on last week.

Her 25 students - all from lower- to middle-class working families - didn’t go to the Los Angeles Zoo or Travel Town.

Instead, they went to see men whom they said scared them, men they thought were dangerous and stole things.

Quinto took her class of 9-year-old children on a field trip to a city-funded, day-labor work site in North Hollywood near a Home Depot.

‘It was a little weird taking the kids on a field trip like this, but it turned out to be a teacher’s dream,’ the young, charter school teacher said Monday.

In one hour, she changed misconceptions and eased the fears of 25 children who thought all day laborers were ‘bad men.’

‘It was the first time a group of schoolchildren ever took the time to stop and talk with our men, find out why they’re here and what they do to make a living,’ said Rene Vasquez, site coordinator of the North Hollywood day-labor program where 80 to 110 men look for work every day.

‘I’ll tell you this, the men I talked to after those kids left really appreciated it. I think they saw a little of their own kids in them.’

Oh, I feel so guilt-free now that I am allowing my tax dollars to teach kids that invaders are harmless and loving people, just lookin’ to feed their Faaameleez…That picture on the story line says it all. Too bad that the illegals have spoiled the waters for the daylabor people who are AMERICAN. Our Government wants to pit the illegals into direct competition with our struggling low income people. It sucks because I often have to look hard to find American workers for various projects. Invaders have pretty much driven out 99% of the day labor who were American born. I found a Brick Mason the other day who was a White American and he underbid an Invader by .50c/ft. One weakness Invaders have (that I have observed) is greed. They are used to ripping people off and changing numbers all the time. It is a game for them. This is how things operate in RazaLand and I want NO part of it.

This field trip must have been “good news” for all the would-be-child-kidnappers. Now a group of innocent children think it’s ok to talk to strangers as long as they think they are from Mexico. Oh, geez.

I remember in the 70’s when I was around that age, we kids got a visit from a cop named Officer Friendly who warned us not to talk to strangers.

Now it is the year 2008 and I see invader rights and feelings rise above child safety issues. God help us all!

Quinto said she watched one man start to cry as he talked about missing his family and trying to earn the money to feed and house them.

    Invaders are CRYBABYS!!!!!

So they are also teaching the children it’s ok for grown men to cry as long as they seem to be from Mexico or some other foreign place. Nobody else could possibly have problems worth crying about.

Even if you do think the man has a reason to cry, why would you want your child to talk to him if he is a stranger? The bad men can pretend they need help fixing a tire or something so the trusting child will come close enough to snatch.

Ready for the better part guys? I found the following article… this is NOTHING but brainwashing the children. So as long as they are not stealing property, but they are illegal immigrants (which is still breaking the law), they are the good guys? And since they are all alone, and away from their family, this teacher is now using these children in a sick way, as a class, to PIMP money for these men to buy tools to work illegally here in the United States! This is an OUTRAGE! Ms. Quinto’s tenure as a teacher should be suspended or removed immediately!

Check out the following article and notice who contributed it to the paper, Ms. Quinto:

Fourth-graders learn importance of day laborers

Below is a press release that two of the fourth-grade students at Our Community School wrote in response to a field trip to the Los Angeles Day Labor Program. Before arriving, students were uncertain and afraid of the men. After interviewing the gentlemen waiting for jobs, the students learned many important lessons. The story written below describes their experience.

    “Kids Interview Day Laborers”

Outside this country, unhappy things happen, so people come from other countries to the United States. They work to send money to their families.

Our Community School’s fourth-grade class went on a field trip to interview day laborers.

We thought they were scary and did bad things, but when we went, we learned not to judge people because they can be nice.

The day laborers get jobs every couple of months. They are good people because they have to leave their families to make money to send to them, so you shouldn’t think all of them are bad.

We would like to help the workers at the Los Angeles Day Labor Program, but we need help. What we need you to do is send your donation to Our Community School, 16514 Nordhoff St., North Hills, CA 91343.

Make checks payable to “Our Community School”. Please write the following on the memo line: “4th Grade Day Labor Program.” We will accept donations until Friday, June 13.

The week after that, we will use the money to buy the tools the workers need to improve their center and get construction jobs.

Thank you for your donation. It will really help the center improve.

We need to get the children out of these COMMUNIST BRAIN WASHING CENTERS.

They come right out and tell what they are doing. “School-to-WorK”. That is the official motto of the UN.

Training your kids to be “world citizens” and part of a great big, world slave work force.

Question nothing. Don’t worry. Be happy.

Lastly, I really hope that guy washes his hands and launders his pants.

The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 (last known calculation by Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University) was a NET (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), $70 Billion per year.  [What are the 2006 costs?]
The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average illegal alien is $55,000 cost to the American taxpayer in a 5-year span.  You personally pay $11,000 every year to illegal aliens.
JOBS (per Center for Immigration Studies - September 2006): Between 2000 and 2005, 4.1 million immigrant workers arrived in the U.S., accounting for 86% of the net inrease in the total number of employed persons (16 & older), the highest share ever recorded in the U.S. Of the 4.1 million, between 1.4 and 2.7 million are estimated to be illegal aliens.  Also, between 2000 and 2005, the number of young (16 to 34) native-born men employed declined by 1.7 million - at the same time, the number of new male immigrant workers increased by 1.9 million. [Do you still believe the gov't employment rate stats?]
ACTION: Please share this data with elected officials, particularly those who spew the PCBS about all the “contributions of illegal aliens to our society” AND “our economy would collapse without them”!  However, NONE of this will matter IF our borders are not secured OR Pres. Bush succeeds in abolishing them (via his SPP, NAU, NAFTA Hwy), and illegal alien murders, drug smugglers and terrorists continue to be welcomed into our country.

    Eddie B,

1984 should be mandatory reading for every single person that can read and those that can’t should have it read to them. WE ARE INDEED THERE. Just reread it some months ago and it was worth the reread.

this school sounds like one of those raza schools were they don’t teach, but indoctrinate. i would be curious as to this schools test scores. as to the letter to the newspaper, that was heavily influenced, if it was even written by a child at all.

Did the teacher mention that day labor sites cost businesses and tax payers billions of dollars ? Did the teacher mention that there is a better way to hire day laborers through so workers wouldn’t have to loiter communities and we wouldn’t have to waist billions of dollars ?

The teacher should have just read this blog: http://thepostaneedbuzz.wordpr.....taneedcom/
