Remember Ron Paul telling the Senate last month that something big was about to happen? MSM covers John Edwards’ affair meanwhile Rome burns. This is not good for the price of oil. I included a piece regarding the the pipeline the previous day from PrisonPlanet becuase MSM is completely mum and John McCain is loud.

Bombs rocked Tbilisi early Saturday morning as the fight between Georgia and Russia over a breakaway region intensified and moved into the Georgian capital.

Government buildings, including the Parliament, were evacuated when the bombs fell.

Heavy casualties have reported on both sides since Russian forces moved Friday into South Ossetia, a pro-Russian autonomous region of Georgia.

Russian bombers were targeting Georgia?s economic infrastructure, National Security Council secretary Alexander Lomaia said, including the country?s largest Black Sea port, Poti, and the main road connecting the southern part of Georgia with the east and the airport.

Georgian television reported that the port had been destroyed.

Georgia, a former Soviet state, sent troops into South Ossetia on Thursday, aiming to crack down on the separatists, who want independence or unification with North Ossetia, which is in Russia. Russia responded Friday, sending troops into the Georgian province where it had peacekeepers stationed.

?I saw bodies lying on the streets, around ruined buildings, in cars,? Lyudmila Ostayeva, a resident of the South Ossetia capital, Tskhinvali, told The Associated Press on Friday.

?It?s impossible to count them now. There is hardly a single building left undamaged,? she said after fleeing to a village near the Russian border, AP reported.

In addition, the pro-Israeli news source DebkaFile reports that Georgian infantry units were ?aided by Israeli military advisors? in capturing the capital of breakaway South Ossetia, Tskhinvali earlier today.

DebkaFile elaborates on the true geopolitical significance behind today?s events.

DEBKAfile?s geopolitical experts note that on the surface level, the Russians are backing the separatists of S. Ossetia and neighboring Abkhazia as payback for the strengthening of American influence in tiny Georgia and its 4.5 million inhabitants. However, more immediately, the conflict has been sparked by the race for control over the pipelines carrying oil and gas out of the Caspian region.

The Russians may just bear with the pro-US Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili?s ambition to bring his country into NATO. But they draw a heavy line against his plans and those of Western oil companies, including Israeli firms, to route the oil routes from Azerbaijan and the gas lines from Turkmenistan, which transit Georgia, through Turkey instead of hooking them up to Russian pipelines.

Jerusalem owns a strong interest in Caspian oil and gas pipelines reach the Turkish terminal port of Ceyhan, rather than the Russian network. Intense negotiations are afoot between Israel Turkey, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Azarbaijan for pipelines to reach Turkey and thence to Israel?s oil terminal at Ashkelon and on to its Red Sea port of Eilat. From there, supertankers can carry the gas and oil to the Far East through the Indian Ocean.

Former Treasury Secretary under Ronald Reagan, Paul Craig Roberts, told The Alex Jones Show today that the entire scenario smacked of a maneuver on behalf of the Neo-Con faction controlling the White House, led by Dick Cheney. Roberts said the date was precisely picked due to the distraction of the Olympics and Bush being out of the country.

Both Condoleezza Rice and John McCain have today demanded Russia withdraw its forces from Georgia immediately.

The John Edwards’ affair seems to have come from out of no where. I know I don’t care. Media stunt for sure.

  2. Sandman says:

“Both Condoleezza Rice and John McCain have today demanded Russia withdraw its forces from Georgia immediately”…Yea, like Russia is going to listen. They know that our Military is having a hard time holding down 2 small 3rd world countries with almost no military. The Russians also know that the U.S. can no longer play the hand of peacemaker, who are we kidding anyway? Russia at least has a far more understandable reason to invade Georgia than we did to Iraq.
This has the potential to get out of hand, no doubt. Im not worried (as much)about Russia invading a country as I am worried about the decision making abilities of OUR Government in times like these. The sword we once beat without fear now has been reduced to a dull butter knife. I hope this country steers clear of this mess!

OMG whats the mayor of Atlanta doing. What are the Ruskies doing in Georgia. And Sandman your right about our Government.Thier a bunch of idiots and the World knows it.The strenght of this Country isnt our Politicians(like they want you to believe) its the people. And its not our military weakness .we are still the badest,.Guess what,Oh yeh, Its our PC politicians that make them week.

  4. jo says:

the timing, wow ,what a coincidence? yeah right. this was another reason for whorehay to be out of the country and in china. putin was also in china and told whorehay about what was happening before it hit the news, but they both looked like nothing was going on. they were there for big popa china, to make sure china was not going to take sides.

this is another event that shows that most americans don’t know and don’t want to know history or current events. people will listen to the bullshit on MSN that paint russia as the big bad wolf and totally lose the fact the the usa has been all up in russia face and that we have troops in southern georgia “teaching” the military there how to fight russia. georgia started it.
AGAIN, the underlying factor is OIL. the players on the downlow are israel and the usa. this is a diversion and a opportunity. let’s hope that what could happen does not. for example, israel uses this opportunity to bomb iran and/or something is created here to further create a situation for martial law. this is a provocated situation that could blow up huge.

  5. Eddie B. says:

This is another puppet government installed by the US Governement so we can install military bases all around the Russian perimeter then point missles at them. The military bases, of course, were instaled “at their request”. And Israel is there becasue we are allies.

It is all about gas, oil and Israel. We are Israel’s war dog.

And the Edward’s story coming out on the SAME DAY??? THE SAME DAY??? The same day as the opening of the Olympics and the war. Great Illuminati symbol the Olympics chose by the way. Sure was a “coincidence”…

What I have not been able to figure out is the signicance of 8/8/08. Three eights. Anybody know if there is an occult meaning behind this date?

The events are coming on fast now. And I sure am glad the Feds solved the anthrax mystery, They had the funeral yesterday.

  6. jo says:

8/8/8 is considered triple lucky for asians. #8 is a very lucky number. i don’t know if it means anything in the occult neitherworld, however, considering that the majority of the world’s population is asian, then for all intents and purposes it is lucky.

I was in Eastern Europe, in Ukraine, in March of 2005. I tell you, from speaking and interacting with the citizens of Ukraine, I got the impression that many, mostly men, considered themselves not Ukrainian, but as Russian. So many reminisced about the strong economic days of the former Soviet Union. I got the impression that many were willing to give up Ukraine’s sovereignty in exchange for a more economic stable region.
That whole region is very volatile, waiting to burst again in all out struggle for power and resources. With us being strong allies with many of the former Soviet Union states, especially Ukraine, the largest excluding Russia, were bound to find ourselves in the middle to a certain degree.
It’s scary to think what this event between Georgia and Russia might escalate to. Hopefully our govt. will make a few wise decisions for a change, and just stay the hell out of this dispute. The last thing we need is to be stuck in another global crisis…

  8. Wildcat76 says:

“Urkaine, a former Soviet republic like Georgia, said it might prevent Russian navy ships involved in the blockade from returning to their bases in the Crimea, an spokeswoman with Urkaine’s foreign ministry said.”

“This statement is new to us and it requires analysis,” said Russian Defense Ministry Colonel-General Anatoly Nogovitsyn. “It is a case of a third party intervening in the process, which is quite surprising.”

I just read that on CNN, not good news at all for stabilizing the situation. Ukrainian and Russian governments get along just about as well as ours gets along with Venezuela’s…but I guess it is good news for tiny Georgia, having Ukraine to support them, not Russia.

  9. jo says:

we ARE in the middle and stirring the pot. our gov’t has already laid out the plans, whatever, because they knew what was going to happen. they agitated it.
our gov’t creates global crisis all over the world for their corporate bosses. “we the people” continue to die for their greed, under the pretense of democracy and goodness. “we the people” MUST NOT allow these greedy bastards to lead us to death and destruction .

  10. litew8 says:

It’s bigger than most think. All of the other crap in the news is most likely an attempt to dilute the news so that the below goes without major concern:

    - Putin: Restore Russia’s position in Cuba

    - US General warns Russia on nuclear bombers in Cuba

  11. Sandman says:

#5 Yep, we shouldn’t worry about anything now Eddie. The Anthrax mystery is solved.(MSM told me so)Don’t look here: Close the book and do not speak of this anymore…wink wink

  12. Sandman says:

The news clips from overseas is reporting that some of the dead “Georgian Rebels” are wearing black uniforms w/U.S. patches. …Blackwater?

  13. Sandman says:

War news outside U.S. MSM filter…

?Who burned down Tskhinvali and made it unfit to live in within just one night? Who killed people, including children, in their hundreds or maybe even thousands? Who forced tens of thousands of people out of their homes? These questions remain unanswered and need to be looked into,” he said.

?It is absolutely necessary, on the international level, to investigate this problem, to find those responsible and to bring them to international trial. Maybe an ad hoc tribunal could be set up, just the way it used to be done for other cases of mass genocide,? Lukin said.

President Medvedev said all crimes in the South Ossetian republic must be documented. Those accused onf involvement will face criminal charges.

The statement followed a meeting with the Russian Prime Minister, Vladimir Putin, in which the two men discussed the situation in the conflict area.

?We are talking about the lives of our citizens now, for which we are responsible,? Medvedev said.

any guesses who Medvedev is talking about? hum.. will the russians be able to do what the american people can not, will not do? hum…….

  15. Educated American says:

If the Bush Administration pushes this issue (actively backing Georgia), and Congress does nothing to stop it - then it’s WWIII. Which insane New World Order architects dreamt this one up?

Many “coincidences”. Congress is on vacation. The Olympics just began. The John Edwards affair story broke. The Anthrax story just “concluded”.

Perhaps, the bombing of Iran is just around the corner.

    We shall see.

  16. Mountain Man says:

There seems to be alot of Conspiracy Theorist going on, on here instead of Illegal immigration. Some people believe our government is responsable for everything that goes on in the world. Maybe they should take responsibility for what is wrong in there own lifes, and not blame our government for everything.

  17. Sandman says:

I guess that the illegal invasion of this country and wide open borders could be called something other than a conspiracy but it is clear that the govt is doing this with intention and they will not really explain why. We are being lied to on so many levels that it is hard to believe ANYTHING MSM or the Govt. cranks out. For this reason, people barely trust MSM (15%) and give alternerative media a 60% approval rating. Congress is at 11% and Boosh is at a record low(24%) People are slowly waking up. I think the invasion has been conspired and crafted by people without the best regards for this country…Someone mentioned here that the strength of the U.S. is in the people, not Big Govt. The invasion will have to be stopped by the voice and actions of the People. We have few in Washington on our side of this issue.

  18. jo says:

the clever conspirators, prepare those whom they conspire against to disbelieve what their senses preceive by making the word and thought dirty ,while the unclean deeds of the conspirators go unchecked.

for the life of me , i can not understand how anyone in this fight for survival is willing to accept that this is all happening radomly and without malice and forethought. if they accept that on this issue there appears to be a concerted effort by some to dupe and otherwise harm the people and the country then they are, in fact, of the belief that there is a conspiracy, so it must not the deed BUT the word that they find offensive. if they accept that this is a conspiracy, then why are they against the facts proving other actions and deeds are conspiracies as well?

if the word cat offends and one is more comfortable calling it a dog , then that is ok as long as one does not expect it to bark.

  19. Sandman says:

Jo, speaking of C.T’s check out this upcoming film. It looks like it will be interesting.
